The families of the victims of the crash on mount Sinai demanded 93 billion from insurers

Relatives of those killed in a plane crash over the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt demanded payment of 93 billion rubles. On Thursday, October 19, told RIA Novosti press-Secretary of the Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow Emilia Gil.

“The court has received a lawsuit from the victims to the insurance companies “Ingosstrah” and “Alliance global corporate & Specialty”, Brisco travel company, airline “Kogalymavia” and “AirCap” she said. Consideration date is not appointed yet.

In January 2016, it was reported that the families of the victims have prepared a lawsuit in a court in new York to an American company who took the crashed aircraft leased “Kogalymavia” and its insurer.

In December 2015 it became aware of the receipt of the Russian airline insurance payments in excess of $ 1.6 billion rubles from “Ingosstrakh” on hull insurance for the death of the A321.

In turn, the relatives of the victims appealed to the Basmanny court against the inaction of the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin and the actions of employees of Ingosstrakh, which, according to lawyer Igor Trunov, fraudulently received from his clients statements that restrict their right to go to court to obtain compensation.

The plane of Russian airline “Kogalymavia”, EN route from the Egyptian resort town of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, crashed on 31 October 2015. All 224 people on Board (mostly Russians) died. It was found that the plane was the bomb. Moscow imposed a ban on flights between the two countries.

The version of the attack was officially confirmed by the Director of FSB Alexander Bortnikov. The responsibility for it assumed the militant group “wilayat Sinai”, sworn allegiance to the banned terrorist organization “Islamic state”.
