Washington is ready to return Russia’s state flags, taken from the closed diplomatic missions in the United States. About the Agency TASS said at the state Department.
“We have informed the Russian Embassy that will be glad when it is convenient, to return the flags at the disposal of the Russian government”, — said the representative of the American foreign Ministry. He added that state symbols “was launched with the demonstration of proper respect and is stored securely in each of these buildings.”
On 11 October Russian flags were torn from the buildings of the Russian Consulate in San Francisco and sales offices in Washington. In the US version, these objects are deprived of diplomatic immunity.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov said that the steps of Washington is unacceptable. According to him, Moscow considers the incident to the arbitrariness of American officials and try to regain control of the captured buildings in court.
