In accidents involving trains and a bus in the Vladimir region killed 16 people. This is with reference to the local authorities on Friday, October 6, reports TASS.
“The collision occurred near the railway station, Pokrov, Vladimir region”, — have informed Agency in the press service of the regional Department of internal Affairs.
“At the moment it is known about 16 victims, 34 living with two children in intensive care, 12 people, according to preliminary estimates, was taken by ambulance,” — said TASS, the head of the city administration Cover Vyacheslav Arakelov.
On the website of the Central regional center of EMERCOM of Russia stated that the accident occurred at 03:39 local time on a railway crossing.
The cause of the accident, according to preliminary data, was the violation of traffic rules by the bus driver, who went to the crossing at a red light. The bus collided with a train on the route Saint Petersburg — Nizhniy Novgorod.
