Russian pensioners have complained of the poverty and health

The main problem of Russian pensioners is poverty. This is stated in a study conducted by the Russian centre for public opinion studies (VTSIOM), reports TASS on Friday, 6 Oct.

In particular, low pensions, suffer 59 percent of respondents. In the second place health problems (45 percent).

Disrespect by young people, older people noted less frequently (18%) than alone (25%) and awareness of the uselessness (24 percent). In General, according to VTSIOM, the non-recognition by young people of the authority of age and concern for young people from 18 to 24 years are three times more likely (38 percent) than among people older than 60 years (14 percent).

75 percent of respondents believe that elderly people are lacking attention.

The survey was conducted in September 2017 with the participation of 1.2 thousand Russians.

On 28 September it was reported that over the past six months, the share of Russian citizens, recognizing the possibility of mass protests over poverty increased from 19% to 26%. While 14 percent of respondents willing to take part in these actions.

In may it was reported that two-thirds of people in the country in 2016 have started to save on the products.
