Rasmussen: international problems should be solved “world policeman” – USA

American leadership is necessary to actively intervene in world conflicts. The corresponding statement was made by the former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen in an interview with the British channel Sky News. In his opinion, that should be the position of the United States, regardless of the outcome of the presidential election.


 


“We need America as an international police officer. We need to establish the US lead in world Affairs,” – says Rasmussen.


 


He also called the problems in which decision, according to former Secretary-General of the Alliance, should be actively involved Washington in the role of “international policeman.” This is the situation in Syria, Iraq, Libya and Eastern Ukraine.


 


Rasmussen stopped and global threats. In his opinion, that “China is playing its muscles”, “rogue state North Korea, threatens nuclear attacks” and Russia, allegedly destabilizing Ukraine and Eastern Europe.


 


“All this requires international police to restore international law and order,” – concluded the former Secretary General of NATO.


 


He also noticed that the outgoing head of the White house Barack Obama expressed resistance to “use the armed forces” to prevent conflicts in the world.


 


In addition, Rasmussen called “threat” possible finding on a post of the President of the United States, the Republican nominee Donald trump.
