Flamingo at zoo Miami were evacuated because of the hurricane “Irma”. Now they live in a room with pictures of tigers!
During hurricane “Irma”, which struck Florida on September 9, evacuated not only people but also animals. Volunteers and zoo staff transported more than 20 flamingos from Miami to Busch Gardens in Tampa.

Tampa also suffered from the hurricane, but not as much as Miami. In the Park the birds were allocated a large room: on the walls hang photos of tigers and hippos, floors and hay.

Employees of Busch Gardens were regularly told about the state birds and were informed that all the animals are safe. September 11 “Irma” weakened to one point.
In the same way a Flamingo from a zoo in Miami was moved in 1992 during hurricane “Andrew”.
