Any peacekeepers can be placed in the contact point with the consent of the conflicting parties, and Russia is not a party to the conflict, said the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the plan of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on the UN mission in the Donbass. “Any peacekeepers can be placed at the point of contact between the conflicting parties with the explicit consent of the conflicting parties”, — transfers its words of RIA “news”.
He added that Russia is not a party to this conflict, and the conflict in the Donbas “to be discussed between Kiev and the authorities LC and DNR”. According to him, it is “basic modality”, and it is unwise to reject and “illogical to abstract”.
“This is the first and original condition of any of peacekeepers,” — said Peskov.
Poroshenko earlier said that Russia’s proposal on placing of the UN mission on the demarcation line in the Donbas solely for the protection of SMM OSCE looks weird. He added that Ukraine is ready to discuss the UN the possibility of placing the mission on the whole territory of Donbass and without the participation of Russia in it.
We will remind, Russia has made to the UN security Council resolution on deployment of peacekeepers in the Donbas, involving the security of the OSCE mission in Ukraine.
