Putin called Abe at the St. Petersburg economic forum in the spring of 2018

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the Eastern economic forum (WEF) invited him to take part in St. Petersburg international economic forum (SPIEF) in the spring of 2018. On Thursday, September 7, reports TASS.

“I want to thank you once again for the fact that you accepted the invitation and arrived at the Eastern economic forum. Looking forward to seeing you at the St. Petersburg economic forum in the spring of next year”, — said the Russian leader.

The President stressed that the cooperation of Moscow and Tokyo is beyond the scope of even such a vast region as the far East. According to him, he is with his Japanese counterpart in constant contact, which promotes the work of businesses and governments of the two countries.

On the eve of Putin awarded order of Friendship by Vice-Premier of the state Council of China Wang Yang heading the Chinese delegation at the WEF. The President also recalled that last year the forum was attended by 200 Chinese companies and signed contracts worth nearly 2 trillion rubles. The total amount of investment, investments from China in the far East over the past two years amounted to more than $ 3 billion.

WEF 2017 is held in Vladivostok from 6 to 7 September. The forum was attended by Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, South Korean President moon Jae-In and President of Mongolia Khaltmagiin Battulga.
