Terrorist groups, including the “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia), intend to commit a terrorist attack similar to the attack of September 11, 2001. This was stated by acting Minister of national security of the United States, Elaine Duke, reports The Daily Mail.
Speaking at the U.S. Embassy in London, she said that extremists are planning a large-scale attack with a large number of victims. “They want to shoot down the plane, the intelligence clear to say about it”, — quotes the edition of its word.
According to Duke, currently, the militants of the terrorist group “Islamic state” transition period, when extremists need “to ensure receipt of funds, to continue to be visible and keep their numbers, so they sell small plans.”
11 September 2001 in the USA, the militants “al-Qaeda” (banned in Russia) hijacked four passenger aircraft. Two airplanes crashed into the twin towers of the world trade center in new York city, one crashed into the Pentagon, another crashed in Pennsylvania. The victims were 2977 people.
