After the liberation of the Syrian city of raqqa fighters from the terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia), Washington is going to help the Syrians. This was during the briefing said the official representative of US state Department Heather Nauert, reported on the website of the foreign Ministry.
“We will work with partners (…). Our next step will be the delivery of humanitarian aid, demining of the city, rehabilitation of infrastructure,” — said the diplomat.
On 17 October it was reported that raqqa, a long-time former self-proclaimed “capital” of ISIS, is completely cleared of terrorists. Currently the city is controlled by fighters of the Kurdish militia, the Peshmerga.
The day before the NBS TV channel, citing sources in the White house reported that US President Donald trump has no clear strategy regarding action of Washington in Syria after the capture of Raqqa.
The terrorists seized the city in 2013. The liberation of Raqqa was one of the main goals of the international antiterrorist coalition headed by USA, the leading military operations against extremists in Iraq and Syria.
