Russia considers the recent actions of the US deliberate attempt to destroy the relationship. This was stated by the representative of the foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, her words TASS reports.
“It seems that American political forces, of course, not all, but a number (…) is thoroughly permeated with Russophobia and act together with intelligence and just conscious of all the forces destroy the relations between the two countries,” she explained. According to Zakharov, it is likely that such activities are carried out in order to create an unfavorable background for the inauguration of the new U.S. Ambassador to Russia John Huntsman.

In the night of Thursday, October 12, from the building of the Russian Consulate General in San Francisco and the Russian trade mission in Washington was taken to the Russian national flags. The US state Department said that the flags are stored in buildings, but declined to say why it was done and when the Russian state symbols will be returned to the place.
