Biologist from New Zealand called the kind of OS in honor of the villain from “Harry Potter”

A biologist in New Zealand called the kind of OS in honor of Lucius Malfoy — one of the negative characters of a series of books about Harry Potter, according to CNN.

Tom Saunders, who discovered a new species Niassa OS decided to call them Lusius malfoyi to “improve the image” of insects.

“People see the OS as the villains as “bad guys”. But the truth is that the vast majority of types of OS are neutral or beneficial from a human point of view. Once Lucius Malfoy was pardoned after separation from allies of Voldemort, I’m asking people to pardon the OS to restore their reputation as an interesting and important creatures,” said Saunders.

Earlier it was reported that a new species of ant was named in honor of the group “Radiohead”.
