Ally trump sent under house arrest for lobbying of interests of Kiev

The former head of the campaign headquarters of U.S. President Donald trump by Paul Manafort, is involved in “Russian Affairs”, placed under house arrest for lobbying the interests of Ukrainian authorities. As reported by CNN, the same measure is assigned to a business partner Rick gates.

Both defendants deny their guilt. Manafort attorney Kevin Downing said later that the charges against his client of the charges “absurd”, RIA news. Another defendant, former Advisor to election headquarters trump George Papadopoulos, pleaded guilty of lying to FBI agents.

Earlier on 30 October, Manafort surrendered to the FBI. He was indicted with 12 points. In particular, he is accused of anti-state activities, tax evasion, money laundering and the concealment of the fact of working for a foreign government. According to prosecutors, Manafort lobbied the interests of the Ukrainian authorities, without informing about their work in Kiev. It passed through the $ 75 million that he had placed offshore, and washed 18 million of them.
