In the Pacific ocean rescued the Americans, five months drifting on the boat

MOSCOW, 27 Jun — RIA Novosti. Two women in the company of two dogs five months drifting in the open sea on a yacht, they saved 1.4 thousand kilometers from the coast of Japan the crew of amphibious assault ship of the US Navy, “Ashland”, reports channel ABC News.

A resident of Hawaii Jennifer Appel and Tasha Fuaba began the journey to Tahiti in may, but during a storm the yacht’s engine failed. Women were trying to get to the destination under sail, but was taken down from the route to the open sea by the current. Traveler sent messages asking for aid, however the signal was too weak and did not reach the shore and other ships.

According to the women, they managed to survive thanks to the presence on Board water desalination and the supply of provisions for the year.
