Six employees of the Main military construction management №6 (former Dalspetsstroy Russia) who were building the Vostochny space centre in Khabarovsk, began a hunger strike due to unpaid wages. The money they received from April, writes RIA “Vostok-Media — Khabarovsk”.
One of the protesters Irina Senatova told the Agency that initially the protest was to participate 15 people, half of them in the end this idea was abandoned. About the upcoming hunger strike had previously notified the company’s management, Supervisory and law enforcement authorities.
According to Infoway, the starving has already met with Deputy head of the company Paul Bojanowski. “He said that the company is unable to meet our requirements, but promised today to provide a schedule of repayment of debts on wages and to discuss with us the terms of ending the hunger strike,” she said.
“Vostok-Media — Khabarovsk” notes that previously the company was to repay the debt on a salary till September of this year, but the management is only partially fulfilled his promise. The company’s debts are constantly growing, now their amount of 270 million rubles. Salaries for a long time don’t get around six thousand people.
Thursday, October 12, it became known that some employees of the former Khabarovsk “Dalspetsstroy” resigned because of wage delays, the other part for the same reason, threatened not to go to work. Prior to this, on 10 October, 50 employees organization picketed the building of the Plenipotentiary representative of the President in far East Federal district.
The first civilian cosmodrome Vostochny is located in the Amur region. He began to build in 2012. During this time there were several scandals related to the identification theft. Builders have repeatedly gone on strike and starving because of unpaid wages.
