The official U.S. state Department spokesman Heather Nauert are unable to answer the question why Russian flags were torn from the buildings of the Russian Consulate General in San Francisco and sales offices in Washington. Her statement was posted on the website of the American foreign Ministry.
“I don’t know,” she confessed after persistent requests to answer the question why it was necessary to remove the state symbols. She said only that Washington believes these actions are “completely legal.”
Earlier, the state Department said that “be happy” to return to Moscow, torn flags.
On 11 October Russian flags were torn from the buildings of the Russian Consulate in San Francisco and sales offices in Washington. In the US version, these objects are deprived of diplomatic immunity. In Moscow, in turn, called the incident an outrage and said about the unacceptability of such actions, as the Consulate General, despite the closure, is still the property of Russia.
