Cypriot authorities have extradited to Russia accused of embezzling 307 million rubles from co-investors Ufa
Moscow. 13 Oct. INTERFAX.RU — the Cypriot Authorities have extradited to Russia the Chairman of the housing construction cooperative (ZHSK) “Duslyk-Stroy” Valery Denisov accused of stealing 307 million rubles from co-investors of Ufa, said Friday the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.
“Today, at the request of the Prosecutor General, the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus extradited to Russia Valery Denisov,” the statement reads.
According to information of the Supervisory authority, Denisov from October 2009 to February 2015, being the Chairman ZHSK “Duslyk-Stroy”, by prior agreement with the Director of LLC “Energotekhservis” kidnapped 307 million roubles belonging to shareholders of an apartment house in Ufa.
Hiding from law enforcement Denisov was declared at first in Federal, and then in the international search. The staff of the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Republic of Cyprus is a wanted citizen of the Russian Federation was detained on the territory of the state.
“Denisov was passed Friday at the international airport of Larnaca (Cyprus), representatives of the Russian law enforcement bodies”, — said the Prosecutor’s office.
