The government has decided to ban the sex change surgery in Russia

State Duma Deputy Vitaly Milonov has prepared a bill on prohibition of holding in Russia of the sex-change surgeries. On Friday, October 6, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the press service of the MP.

“Our country should not encourage human vivisection is inhumane. Such procedures contradict at least the very essence of medicine — after these procedures to reduce the period of life, faces several health problems, increases the risk of suicide,” — said Milonov.

A member of the lower house of the Parliament expressed confidence that there can be no medical reasons for surgery for sex change in adulthood and that the vast majority of cases, those wishing to change their gender need mental or psychological help.

“Why to help the poor and the sick person, if you can just lure him all the money, break the health and send to die?” — said Milonov.

The MP stressed that the development of the bill relied on the opinion of the “medical community”. The document will contribute to the state Duma during the autumn session, after the discussion at the Advisory meeting, said the press service.

The MP’s appeal came after it became known that the Ministry of health developed the form and manner of issuance of certificates of sex-change.

Previously Milonov offered to shoot drug addicts and rap artists to save the Russian culture. At the beginning of the year, a former colleague of the Deputy of the Petersburg legislative Assembly Alexey Kovalev asked the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin to send Milonov on psychological and psychiatric examination and be prosecuted for inciting national hatred and enmity.
