American parliamentarians do not respond to the appeals of Russian colleagues about the resumption of dialogue. This was stated today by the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev at the meeting with the delegation of American experts headed by the President of the Center for the national interest (USA) by Dmitry Simes.
“We constantly look to our American counterparts (offer) to resume the dialogue. Surprisingly not that meet with failure, we don’t get answers,” — quotes the Senator TASS. Kosachev said that the Russian deputies and senators do not give up and finished parliamentary opportunities to fully contribute to ensuring that Russia and the United States gradually normalized relations. “But for this tango takes two, too”, he added.
Negative background in Russian-American relations, he believes, in the interests of a certain part of the American establishment, “the radical members of Congress, who in the absence of dialogue just allow myself this kind of demarche against Russia”. In his opinion, this situation can easily be remedied if the parties start talking directly to each other.
