Washington has suspended the issuance of U.S. visas in Cuba

Moscow. September 29. INTERFAX.RU — the United States indefinitely suspended the issuance of visas in Cuba, the Associated Press reports, citing sources. According to the Agency, this was done in connection with the so-called “attacks” on American diplomats.

A new period of cooling relations between Washington and Havana is associated with health problems identified at least 21 employees of the us Embassy. The US state Department said that the workers were victims of “acoustic attack”.

Now, AP reports that American authorities are warning that U.S. citizens have become victims of such attacks not only in the buildings of the guardian, but also in hotels. Although the affected tourists were reported in Washington do not exclude that the surrounding area may be subject to undesirable effects.

The first complaints diplomats in unexplained health problems appeared about a year ago. Investigators still don’t know how to explain hearing loss or serious brain damage.

Earlier, the state Department preferred to call these cases “incidents” now in the state Agency’s deliberate attacks on staff.

Havana has officially denied all accusations.

It is also reported that the Secretary of state Rex Tillerson considered the possibility to completely stop the work of the U.S. Embassy in Cuba.

Cubans will be able to apply for a us visa in the neighboring countries. The United States will cease to send to Cuba the official delegation, all the talks will be held in Washington.
