The President of Turkmenistan wrote a book about the sport
ASHGABAT, 29 Sep — RIA Novosti, Amangeldy Nurmuradov. Presentation of a new book of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Sport is the way to friendship, health and beauty” was held in the conference hall of the national Centre of public organizations, said Friday the Russian-speaking governmental newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”.
President of Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the literary work. This year the head of state has presented to the public two new books about the military, and the work of the internal Affairs bodies. In the past year, from the pen of the Turkmen President was published six books on various subjects — about Turkmen carpets, music, Proverbs, Akhal-Teke horses and others.
In the presentation of a new book by the head of state was attended by the heads of Mejlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan, members of government, heads of security agencies, representatives of sports and public organizations and the media.
The book focuses on the role and significance of physical education and sport in human life and society, it tells about the work done in Turkmenistan, the work and measures taken on the development of mass physical culture and sports movement and sports of high achievements, on national sports, with the Turkmen people’s centuries-old traditions.
Special attention in the new book of the President given held in Ashkhabad V Asian indoor games and martial arts, where the national team of Turkmenistan won a victory in the team standings.
The book was prepared and published by the Turkmen state publishing service in Turkmen, English and Russian and illustrated with photographs.
