Earlier Tuesday, the 40-year-old Nikitin decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has replaced on a post of the head of the Nizhny Novgorod region 70-year-old Valery Shantsev. On the same day the head of state signed a decree on awarding Shantsev with the order “For merits before Fatherland” II degree.
Shantsev was appointed Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region in 2005. In 2014 he took part in the direct election of the Governor, the results of which scored 86 percent of the vote.
Nikitin was appointed the first Deputy Minister of industry and trade of Russia in 2013. To the Ministry of industry and trade also worked at the Federal Agency for state property management and the Committee for city property management of St. Petersburg.
