Private houses next to a garbage landfill “Kuchino”
Information about 625-fold excess of maximum permissible concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the South-Eastern districts of Moscow and the adjacent Moscow region towns is not true. The head of nature resources Artem Sidorov reported to the Minister of natural resources and ecology of Russia Sergey Donskoy at the meeting on the problem of air pollution, reports the press service of the Ministry on Tuesday, September 26.
Samples taken directly at the site “Kuchino”, resulting in samples detected concentration of hydrogen sulfide in a concentration of 5 mg/m3. According to the results of sampling in the residential area of Kosino-Ukhtomsky district revealed excess of admissible norms (MPC) of hydrogen sulfide only 1.10 – 1.74 times. In this regard, Rosprirodnadzor filed an administrative case and started investigation to verify the execution of the technology transfer body of the landfill of inert soils to block the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
In addition, Sidorov said that the results of road checks on citizens ‘ complaints instituted administrative proceedings against Lyubertsy treatment facilities of Mosvodokanal. Experts have recorded the excess of the high concentration of hydrogen sulphide.
Sergey Donskoy, in turn, instructed Rosprirodnadzor to monitor and raids continuously.
Earlier on Tuesday several media outlets, citing Rosprirodnadzor said that in residential neighborhoods Kosino-Ukhtomsky district, adjacent to the landfill, “Kuchino” limit concentrations. In particular, the newspaper “Kommersant” wrote that the test of the site in Balashikha was held after stations of Mosekomonitoring “Kozhukhovo” and “Zhulebino” repeatedly documented the excess concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the air of the capital.
