MPs pointed to artificial intelligence

Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin urged parliamentarians to focus on the development of artificial intelligence in Russia. It is reported TASS on Monday, September 25.

“The issues related to artificial intelligence, are questions our priority. Here we cannot do without partnerships with major companies that have already done much on our market,” he said at the enlarged meeting of the Council for legislative support of the digital economy.

Volodin also believes that the development of robotics will soon lead to the disappearance of many professions: “it would be Correct to anticipate this and come to the decisions that would allow to simulate the situation in the future.”

On 21 September the President of Russia Vladimir Putin during a visit to Moscow office of “Yandex” talked with the new development — voice assistant “Alice”. In particular, the President asked hurt whether “Alice” in the company. The virtual assistant did not give a direct answer.

On 9 July, Putin attended the opening ceremony of the international industrial exhibition “Innoprom” in Yekaterinburg, where he said that the widespread introduction of advanced technologies it considers a powerful resource for the development of the country.
