“The handmaid’s tale” and “Big little lies” has received major awards for the Emmy
In Los Angeles in 69-th time the ceremony of awarding prizes of the American teleakademii “Emmy”.
Awards in the major categories received the series “the handmaid’s Tale” and the miniseries “Big little lies”.
So, “the handmaid’s Tale” won the Emmy as best drama series and also received awards for best leading actress in a drama series (Elisabeth moss) and best female supporting actress (Ann Dowd). For moss, who played, among other things, in the TV series “Mad men” is the first “Emmy”.
“Big little lies” received five Emmy awards including the award Nicole Kidman for best actress in a miniseries.
Best drama series was named “Vice-President”.
“World Wild West” nominated for Emmy awards in 22 categories, were left without awards in the major categories. Also competitors of the contest was lost and the show “Strange things”, which critics considered a major contender for awards.
Due to the rules of nomination for an Emmy in 2017 in the list of nominees for the awards were not “Game of thrones”. The premiere of the next season of the series was held on 16 July, and the awards could be nominated only work that aired to 30 may inclusive.
