MOE has warned of the danger of Typhoon “Talim” for the Far East of Russia

Typhoon “Talim” moving from Japan to Russia, can cause damage to the Russian Far East, bringing with it heavy rains and strong winds. This is stated in the message of EMERCOM in the Khabarovsk region.

A similar warning was issued and emergency management neighbouring Primorsky Krai.

According to rescuers, the Typhoon could lead to flooding of certain areas, the cliffs power lines and accidents on objects of housing and communal services.

EMERCOM in Primorsky region warned of a possible strengthening of a wind to 17 — 22 m/s. the Local population is recommended to take the necessary security measures.

Last weekend Typhoon “Talim” hit Japan. He caused the death of at least one person who died under the landslide which was caused by heavy rains. Another three people are still missing, 35 people were injured. On the island of Hokkaido Typhoon paralyzed the traffic.
