Nicolas Maduro
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on its similarities with the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. He said this on air of the program “Sunday with Maduro”, which airs on the TV channel Venezolana de Televisión, reports Venezuela al Dia.
“In the world there are people who call me Caribbean Stalin. And I’m like. Look at my profile,” — said the Venezuelan leader.
Maduro has previously compared himself with the Soviet leader. So, in March 2015, walking through the book fair in Caracas, he took a book from the stand with the picture on the cover of Stalin and said that like him.
In Venezuela since April of this year, the continuing unrest, victims of clashes have killed more than 100 people. This comes amid the standoff between Maduro and the opposition, which after the election belongs to the majority in Parliament. The cause of the conflict was the deepest economic crisis in the country caused by the fall in world oil prices.
