Goa’s ban to drink alcohol in public places

The authorities of the Indian state of Goa are going with the new holiday season to introduce a ban on drinking alcohol in public places. This was stated by chief Minister of the state Manohar Parrikar, reports Hindustan Times.

He noted that to act such action shall, in October of this year.

According to officials, in such measures, it was decided to go in order to put an end to the troubles that takes drunk people. “If someone wants to drink, he must drink in the room, not in public places,” added Parrikar.

The official explained that local authorities will also be fine wine shops in the case that buyers will drink alcohol right at the entrance.

Under the existing laws, the drinking of alcohol is already banned in some public places and on beaches.
