Ukrainian businessman was going to buy a “daughter” of “Sberbank”

Businessman Sergey Tigipko can buy Lviv VS Bank is a subsidiary of Sberbank in Ukraine. On Monday, September 18, informs the Agency “Ukrainian news” with reference to the message of Antimonopoly Committee of the country.

“August 23, Sergey Tigipko submitted the application to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine on granting him permission to indirect acquisition of shares in the share capital VS Bank. Currently, his application is under consideration”, — is spoken in the message of Antimonopoly Department.

The information was confirmed by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU). “Now all the documents for approval of acquisition of significant participation in the “VI es the Bank” (VS the Bank) registered and pending (the NBU — ed. “Of the tape.ru”). Upon review the public will be informed in addition”, — noted in the national Bank.

The NBU is considering an application for the acquisition within three months from the date of receipt of the package of relevant documents.

In July, the national Bank refused to allow Russian businessmen said Myasnikovich and Grigory Guselnikov in acquiring the Ukrainian “daughter” of Sberbank. The regulator justified its decision by the fact that the business has not provided the necessary documents to verify their compliance with the local regulations.

Sberbank announced the sale of its Ukrainian subsidiary to a consortium of Norvik Banka and private Belarusian company in March this year.

In terms of assets VS Bank of July 1, occupied 28-e a place among 88 of the operating banks of Ukraine.
