Media: Prince Charles is refusing to live at Buckingham Palace
Prince Charles of Wales has no plans to use Buckingham Palace as his residence after his accession to the throne. On Sunday the newspaper the Sunday Times, citing sources close to the Royal family.
According to the newspaper, the 68-year-old heir to the British throne along with his wife Duchess of Cornwall Camilla will continue to live in his London residence, Clarence house.
“I know he’s not a fan of the “big house” as he calls the Palace”, — said one of interlocutors of the newspaper, adding that Prince Charles does not consider Buckingham Palace a practical future home suitable for life in the modern world.
The heir to the throne believes that the Palace is cheaper to make and more open to the public, said “Newspaper.ru”.
