In Dubai launched the project world’s largest solar power plant
DUBAI, 17 Sep — RIA Novosti. In Dubai launched the world’s largest power plant with a solar collector (concentrated solar power), said on Saturday the UAE newspaper the National.
According to the publication, the plant will be 700 MW. The height of the building to capture reflected sunlight — “solar collector” — will be 260 metres. It is the tallest such structure in the world at the moment.
The tender for the construction of the power plant won a consortium of contractors from Saudi Arabia and China. The construction cost is estimated at 3.9 billion dollars.
