Near Moscow police officer was suspected of receiving a bribe of 17.5 million rubles

In the Moscow region against the chief of a police station in the Istra area brought criminal case upon receiving a bribe in the amount of 17.5 million rubles this was announced by the head of the press service of the Moscow Department of internal Affairs Tatyana Petrova. The case was opened under article 290 of the criminal code (bribery).

Petrov said that the police received money for “a favorable resolution of the investigation of the criminal case”. She said that was organized by internal audit, after which the suspect will be dismissed from law enforcement bodies and brought to justice. In addition, the heads of the police will involve in a disciplinary responsibility.

According to REN TV, the suspect was arrested.
