Moscow will soon reduce the number of American Embassy staff in Russia. This statement was made by Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The speech of the diplomat published in the account of the Ministry in Facebook.
“If they took the parity as a criterion, we now consider the conditions in which the work of American missions in Russia and Russian in the United States and will bring these conditions into full compliance with what is called parity,” Lavrov said.
His statement Lavrov made at a press conference in Amman, the Jordanian capital. This requirement will push Moscow to Washington in connection with the demand of the American authorities to close the Consulate General of Russia in San Francisco. In addition, the US authorities demanded to close one diplomatic facility in new York and Washington. Probably, the number of employees of the US diplomatic mission in Russia will be reduced by 155 people. That is the figure previously called Russian President Vladimir Putin.
