At a polling station in kazanskom region of Buryatia was was the attempted theft of fiber optic cable. About it RIA Novosti said the Chairman of the national electoral Committee Dmitry Ivaylovsky.
“At 07:45 (02:45 GMT) in the Trinity was an attempt to steal the fiber optics, we reported in “Rostelecom” at 08:30 the connection was already restored,” — said the Agency interlocutor. He said that the opening and work of the polling station, the incident has not affected.
The turnout at 10 am (05:00 MSK) amounted to almost 7 percent, 1 percentage point less than last year’s elections. According to Ivanovskogo, the figure amounted to 6.98 percent, or 49 of 414 of the vote, whereas in 2016 the state Duma elections, the turnout was 8 percent.
According to the revised data of the electoral Commission, in the region 705 of 763 registered voters, voting takes place on 839 polling stations.
