The SBU said on the prevention of the murder of the former officer of FSB of Russia
The head of the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Hrytsak said that the country’s intelligence agencies thwarted the kidnapping and murder of the former officer of FSB of Russia Ilya Bogdanov, who in 2014 moved to the side of Ukraine, reports TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
“The operation that we conducted, connected with the intentions of an organized criminal group, led by Russia, to organize the kidnapping and murder today peaceful citizens of Ukraine”, — said Hrytsak.
According to him, the SBU has received information that Bogdanov was abducted in order to transport on the territory of Russia. Hrytsak said that they have received evidence that Bogdanov wanted to kill.
“We have created a powerful group… and sent her to Kharkov, since Bogdanov was there. Finding a place of stay of the kidnappers near the border was organized seizure of this group, we call them logistics,” — said the head of Department.
In the case of the kidnapping detained three people, all citizens of Ukraine. Among them are the ex-Deputy of Kharkiv regional Council.
The police opened two criminal cases — under article 146 (illegal imprisonment) and part 2 of article 149 (human trafficking).
