LIMA, November 19. /TASS/. The issues of cooperation in energy, trade, food security and transport infrastructure development will be a priority for the Russian delegation headed by President Vladimir Putin during the discussion at the summit of the Asia-Pacific economic cooperation (APEC) forum, which opens on Saturday in the capital of Peru. This was reported to journalists by the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

“Russian participation in the forum aimed at cooperation in the sphere of trade, strengthening food and energy security, expansion of transport infrastructure, diversification of trade supply routes,” – said Ushakov.

Topics for discussion

According to Ushakov, among the most important issues that is going to raise the Russian side during the upcoming forum is assistance to innovative growth, the formation of common education space in the Asia-Pacific region (APR), the fight against terrorism and corruption as well as increasing the level of emergency preparedness.
