The Finance Ministry has called baseless the words of Kadyrov on the reduction of the budget of the Chechen Republic

The words of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov about the budget cuts of the region are unfounded. This was stated by Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, reports RNS.

He explained that Kadyrov does not know what funds it will receive next year because the volumes of interbudget transfers has not been distributed. “So to declare that he will get less or more, no reason not,” — said the Minister. He noted that representatives of the government of Chechnya has not contacted him.

On 1 November the head of Chechnya criticized the Finance Ministry’s proposals to reduce the budget of the Republic. He explained that if and further will continue the practice of budget cuts, the Republic “will not be able to develop, to fulfill their social obligations”. Policies then emphasized that previously the budget of the region has eroded, and the authorities of the Republic agreed with it.

Later that same day, President Vladimir Putin instructed the government headed by Dmitry Medvedev to consider the possibility of increasing the funding of the North Caucasus. Later the words of Kadyrov commented on the Sands: he stated that the budget process should consider all aspects, not just the interests of individual subjects.

2 Nov Kadyrov said in an interview that he seem to be a strange attempt to apply to Chechnya the standards common to all regions. According to him, this is due to the fact that the country has still not recovered from the war.
