Created lip-reading computer

Scientists from Oxford University have created LipNet — computer program, able to lip-read with an accuracy of 93.4%. It is reported by Gizmodo.

The development is based on the results of a study that showed that people the movement of the lips better recognize long words. So instead of having to identify each word separately, the algorithm analyzes whole sentences, and then uses techniques of deep learning to decipher every word.

Deep learning — a variety of machine learning activities using multi-level neural networks. Neural networks are mathematical models that simulate the process of human learning.
