For lump-sum payments to retirees in 2017 will require about 5 billion rubles. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, reports TASS.

Earlier, on 8 November the President of Russia Vladimir Putin instructed the government to amend the bill on lump sum payments to retirees. She will also be entitled to military veterans and equated categories.

Originally this measure was intended to deal with all categories of pensioners, but the bill was dropped military retirees and equated categories.

1 Nov Golodets said that the January lump-sum payment of five thousand rubles will receive all pensioners other than the military. A spokesman for the Deputy Prime Minister said that according to the law on lump-sum allowances allowance are only those military retirees who receive pension insurance.

13 October, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that the indexation of pensions and some social benefits at the level of actual inflation will be held in February 2017. He also recalled that in January, retirees will receive a lump sum payment in the amount of five thousand rubles.
