The visit of the king of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud to Moscow will give a new powerful impetus to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries. This was stated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin after talks with him in a narrow format, reports on Thursday, October 5, RIA Novosti.
According to the head of state, conversation with the monarch was informative, substantive and trusting the conversation touched on bilateral relations and the situation in the region, said TASS.
The Saudi leader in his turn noted that the views of Moscow and Riyadh on many regional and international issues coincide. At the meeting with Putin he pledged to continue to cooperate with Russia to achieve stability in the oil markets and invited the Russian leader to visit his country.
Abdul-Aziz al Saud also urged to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria, which would guarantee security and stability in the country and the preservation of its territorial integrity. Riyadh, he said, intends to seek settlement of this matter in accordance with the decisions of Geneva and the resolution of the UN security Council.
