The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov on his page in Instagram spoke about the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak. The politicians discussed the increase in budget of Chechnya needed, according to Kadyrov, in connection with the high birth rate in the Republic.
“We also thoroughly addressed the issue of high rates of growth of the population of Chechnya at the expense of high fertility. It puts before us problems that need immediate solutions. They should be taken into account when forming the budget. This growth in social spending — health, education and other, which must be considered when calculating the grants for leveling the budget”, — said Kadyrov.
As stressed the head of Chechnya, Kozak assured him that “will give full support and assistance”.
In October last year, Kadyrov criticized the draft budget of the Chechen Republic, which is proposed by the government. In particular, he resented the curtailing of the Federal target program “Restoration of economy and social sphere of the Chechen Republic”. According to Kadyrov, the program was effective and should be renewed. Then the politician said that if the budget continues to be cut, the Republic could not develop, and she will not be able to fulfill the assumed social obligations. Media reported that from 2007 through 2015, the years of Chechnya received a budget of 539 billion.
In 2017 Chechnya was to receive from the Federal budget subsidies for 40,4 billion rubles.
