KRASNODAR, September 16. /TASS/. About 120 girls gathered in the Krasnodar higher military aviation school of pilots to compete for the dream to become a pilot. Soiskatelei came from the Far East and the polar Murmansk, the capital, from the Urals and from the neighboring towns.
The maiden set of, say teachers, special: not only because of the fact that earlier pilots had not been trained, but because of all of the entrant “burn” the idea of doing something. Within two weeks, they must pass three exams: the assessment of psychological qualities, a medical and fitness test.
Girls and boys
“Why are you talking about us, about guys, stories don’t write?”, with a slight envy of mourners tells me transmission from school to the girls ‘ dormitory a student. – “We are real pilots! And the pilots – they are strong, hardy and clever.”

“Some guys are very upset, because there have always been men’s territory, and then ran girls. We watched a movie, where one of the students even said that he came here because no girls. And with some guys we communicate very well – we communicate not prohibited – they say: “well Done, girls!”. And officers are good to us, make small concessions, but we don’t pluck!”, says TASS Ksenia Kolesova from the Lipetsk region.
College Professor Andrey Padalka, who now oversees a group of students, said: “there is no difference between cadets boys cadets girls will not.” “There is still some psychological moment. Among boys, the competition has always been, but it’s familiar – and the man in any case, the height is simply because he is a man. And then there are girls and guys say they can do the same thing not worse than them. And the guys are going, they begin to try harder,” he explains.
Strong girls
During the great Patriotic war for “night witches” – female regiment of night bombers – a specially converted training aircraft, because pilots just could not pull the wheel. “Now everything is easier: there are modern technologies, hydraulic… So that will fly on the same machines as the guys,” say the teachers of the school.
But still physical training for the cadets is one of the main directions. For admission who apply to universities must pass running the 100 and 1000 metres and a few standards. Some of the exercises differ from “male exam”: for example, push-UPS were replaced by pullups.
These exams girls are not afraid. They were engaged in skiing or athletics, volleyball, martial arts, and the school themselves are trained in the evenings: running in the stadium and engaged in a gym.
“I have been Boxing. At home I was training for four hours: first run, then workout with gantelkami, working with scrap, sparring and more. In the evenings running. Go for growth and health
Requirements for the health of pilots – higher for girls any favors there. Chief of medical service Vladimir Mokrushin says that some of soiskatelei has not passed a medical examination.
“The requirements are very high. There are anomalies that are insignificant for the army, but for us can be a serious problem. Health they have as much as the students-men of the same age. Health coming, in any case, the year is not improving. Plus problems of the gastrointestinal tract due to soda and fast food, plus problems with vision because of the gadgets,” said he.
Requirements for waist or shoulder width have pilots there, but they don’t have to suffer obesity. But there are limitations on growth: if the pilot is below 160 centimeters, he will not be able to fly a plane, and if the above 186 cm, then in case of overload his body will be very hard.
In addition, for girls there are special conditions: during pregnancy and nursing do not allow her to fly. “In General, women from nature that the body is more passive and men more disposed to be active, so the pilot is more a man’s job,” adds Mokrushin.
The nature of the pilot
Psychological quality of students measured by the results of computer testing. The school noted that almost every candidate has already tried to enter the military colleges, which means that they are initially set up for military service.
“In the world is that about 3% of people can be good pilots because their nature is endowed with the necessary qualities. The proportion will be greater, the competition was declared unexpectedly, the preparation time a bit, and the candidate chosen from those who have already tried to enter the military schools. But the motivation, he said, is not important. The pilot must quickly react on emergency situations, to be resilient and move congestion, make the right decision in any situation. In order to assess the ability of future pilots, the school has installed special devices.
One of them, for example, checks the hardness of the hands. Before starting the test, the student picks up a tablet, which evaluates his emotional state on physiological parameters such as heart rate. After that, the students performs a few simple tasks that allow us to understand, if not shaking his hands: for example, you need to hold the tip of a special manipulator (it looks like a ballpoint pen with a thin metal rod) through the winding maze without hitting the walls.
Crying is just the pad
