At the sites of Russia and Belarus started joint strategic exercises “West-2017”. They are attended by about 12 700 troops (including about 10 to 200 on the territory of Belarus) and employs about 680 pieces of equipment. These exercises have already provoked a strong reaction in the West, but the European countries very often hold similar training and combat activities in the border areas.
