Parfenchikov won elections of the head of Karelia

Acting head of Karelia Arthur Parfenchikov (“United Russia”) has received 61,34% of the votes in the election of the head of the Republic. Such data was announced by TASS in the press service of the Central election Commission of the Republic of Karelia after processing all protocols Monday, September 11.

For the candidate from “Fair Russia” Irina Petelava voted 18.05 percent of voters, Eugene Ulyanov (CPRF) received 12.13 percent, the liberal-Democrat Evgenie the besední — 5.68 percent, said the representative of regional election Committee Daria Golitsyna.

Election of the head of the region took place in Karelia for the first time in 15 years. The turnout made up 29.23 percent.

On 15 February President of Russia Vladimir Putin has accepted the resignation of Alexander khudilainen with the post of the head of Karelia and appointed acting head of the region Artur Parfenchikov, who previously headed the Federal bailiff service.
