Rospotrebnadzor warned of hepatitis E in the UK
The Federal service for supervision of consumer rights protection and human welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) warned about the growing number of cases of hepatitis E in the UK.
“According to the Ministry of health of England (PHE), thousands of Britons may already be infected with hepatitis E virus (HEV), derived from the imported to UK pork products entering the chain of supermarkets across the country”, — stated in the message Department.
According to experts, the cause of the spread of the disease was a violation of the accepted rules of feeding and maintenance of pigs in some European countries.
