The U.S. Treasury Department after a test of a hydrogen bomb in North Korea is developing a new package of sanctions against the DPRK, including a full trade embargo. On Sunday, September 3, Fox News reports.
According to the head of Department Steve Mnuchin, he had discussed the issue with President Donald trump, and they agreed that the behavior of the DPRK is unacceptable. He recalled that the United States has imposed restrictive measures against North Korea, but said that he intends to complete the package.
North Korea announced the successful test of a hydrogen bomb on 3 September. The DPRK stated that the warhead could be used to equip Intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The Chairman of the defense Committee of the Parliament of South Korea Kim Yeon Woo appreciated the power of the bomb of 100 kilotons. It is four to five times stronger than the charge used in Nagasaki in 1945, and 10 times the previous North Korean bomb.
