BRYANSK, 26 Oct — RIA Novosti. Rostransnadzor, check the company “Konvers Avia” shortly before state of emergency with helicopter Mi-8 of Svalbard, found no violations in its work, reported RIA Novosti on Thursday the Deputy Director of the company “Konvers Avia” Dmitry Zhelyazkov.
According to him, the company is waiting for checks that would normally occur when any incident with air transport.
“Naturally, there will be unscheduled check. But we just checked Rostransnadzor, violations of the company does. This route is very demanding, there is a new helicopter, the best model crew. It is therefore absolutely incomprehensible situation, which no one has yet to comment on,” said jeliazkov.
According to him, the relatives informed that crew members went missing. “The relatives informed that the crew went missing”, — said the Agency interlocutor.
Earlier, the rescue service Northern Norway, said on Twitter that a Russian helicopter, on Board of which were eight people on Thursday crashed in the sea a few kilometers from Barentsburg (Spitsbergen archipelago). In “Konvers Avia” reported that the helicopter belongs to this airline.
Consulate General of Russia in Barentsburg verifies information about a helicopter crash. According to the Consul General Vyacheslav Nikolaev, the helicopter was able to make an emergency landing and not to fall into the sea.
