Patriarch Kirill spoke about the needs of Moscow’s migrant workers
Patriarch Kirill said that the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) understand the invitation to Moscow of labour migrants, as in the capital there are not enough workers for the construction of homes and roads, reports “Interfax”.
“Increasingly, there is a demographic in our country among professionals, among the General public. The huge territory of Russia, it is necessary to learn, to work, and not enough manpower,” — said the Patriarch at the opening of the Church Congress on social service.
He noted that in Moscow there is a renovation programme, to build houses, roads. The Patriarch asked the question, “who builds”, and he answered:
It’s not the inhabitants of the city of Moscow, it is not Orthodox people. But we are sensitive to this, because without the invitation of the so-called guest workers to do all this impossible.
