The militants of the terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia) seized tank T-90A, which were previously supplied the Syrian military from Russia. On Wednesday, October 25, reports the Telegram-channel 4 Directorate involved in the review of the activities of terrorists.
According to the channel, the tank became a trophy of the militants during the fighting East of the city of Mayadin. In doing so, the terrorists mistook the car for captured T-72.
In September, the Syrian army units destroyed in the Northern province of Hama T-90 tank, which was captured from the Syrian military forces armed opposition in Aleppo province in June last year. Later the tank was handed over to militants of the organization “Tahrir al-sham”, created on the basis of the terrorist group “Jabhat EN-Nusra” (banned in Russia).
Mayadin, located 40 kilometers South-East from the administrative center of the province of Deir ez-Zor, the Syrian army liberated from the militants on October 14. City held by terrorists since July 2013, possessed a well-organized system of warehouses and workshops and was used by militants as a logistics hub.
