Kirienko is sure that the participants of the youth festival in Sochi will return to Russia
SOCHI, Oct 22 — RIA Novosti. First Deputy head of administration of the President of Russia believes that the world festival of youth and students held in Sochi, will return to Russia.
The festival officially opened in Sochi on 15 October, and on Saturday the closing ceremony. The was attended by 25 thousand people (5 thousand more than planned) from 188 countries. 5 thousands of volunteers helping Russian and foreign guests to navigate the festival.
“Young people active. Each of them had sent in dozens and hundreds of their friends their impressions every day. Sure they’ll be back,” Kiriyenko said at the final press conference of the festival, answering the question of how the outcome will affect the tourist potential of Kazakhstan and Sochi in particular.
“I think that will have an impact”, he added.
Kiriyenko also thanked for his work at the festival journalists. “I am convinced that your work is not less, but rather more important than all other organizers and participants of the festival, because a lot of people came to us, but it is very small compared to those who are interested,” — said Kiriyenko.
He explained that the festival speakers at different venues heard from three to eight thousand people. “But it is important to hear hundreds of thousands and millions. And you do. And doing really well,” he said.
